Well, here's my second sketch that was done in the same fashion as I did the last sketch. Frankly I didnt like it one bit. I wanted to draw the Joker, but for some reason, it just didn't come out right...I guess if I wanted, I could have used some kind of reference but I just wanted to try some free sketching. I guess this can be somebody trying to dress as the Joker then...I don't know. I will try again some time by the end of the year to do another one. Hopefully a lot better too. LOL. Anyways, ttfn!

Assignment 3: Illustrator! Can you dig it?
Well, here is my project done in Illustrator. I've got to say, it's a interesting program. I have spent a LOT of time in Photoshop, so when it came to illustrator I didn't know a dang thing. I figured the best thing to do is to just go in there and experiment with it and see what I can get out of it. I do like the vector part of the program, it makes crisp smooth lines, no matter how bad I wiggle as I doodle along. I can see this program best used to make logos and other various promotional material. I really enjoy making shapes that don't have the boarder around. It gives it a simplistic look that I have really fallen in love with as I messed around with the program. But all in all, I would really like to experiment more with this program as time goes by! :)
Weekly sketch: 9/7-9/11

I have been checking out more Photoshop tutorials and checking out how Scott Kurtz, Webcomic artist expert, to see how to get a better line quality and to do everything in Photoshop, from the sketch to the final piece. Here is what it looks with the sketch element:

I use a light blue to do the sketch and use another layer for inks and to make a nice clean image. This is the first time i've done a full digital sketch in this fashion. I've just used regular paper and ink then scan it in and edit with photoshop. I am really excited to practice all digitally and hope to get better as I go along :P Let me know what you think of my sketches in the comment area! See ya later!
